Just in time for labor day, we completed two projects in Cedar Park, Texas and Avery Ranch (North Austin). Both projects went extremely well.

The first, in Cedar Park, was complex and involved coordination between our carpenter, Scott, to insure the construction phases went smoothly and did not endanger the quality of the pool. Doug designed a great layout maximizing every area of the backyard. We built a free-form pool/spa, fire pit, and outdoor kitchen and seating area. The customers did a great job installing modular grill, fridge, sink, and warmer accesseries. In addition, they installed new cedar gates and an equipment fence which greatly complimented the project.

The second project, in Avery Ranch, is a pool/spa built off the 10 hole at Avery Ranch Golf Course. We started the project the same week as their neighbor began building a pool of their own with a local competitor. It was interesting to see the slight differences in design, construction method, and some other fine details of the project. Our pool is semi-geometric and compliments the landscape extremely well. The wok pot spillways and sheer waterfall are great additions to the design.

Pflugerville June 2010

Cedar Park: June 2010

6/10: Broke ground today on a great project in Cedar Park. Will post pics and design soon. Pool is a free-form pool/spa with a great out- door kitchen area, fire pit, and patio. We’ll be working with Scott again; he did an awesome job with the S. Austin deck. Looking forward to seeing it all come together.

6/15: Started steel on pool today. Had a couple of bad ran days but project is moving along fine.

6/24: Shot gunite shell on pool yesterday. Three-tiered spillway on spa came out great. Bar stools will be a great addition to pool.

6/28: Started tile and coping. Anticipate a few rain days this week with tropical storm moving through Texas.

7/12: Tile and Coping are complete. We are running utilities for the pool/spa, outdoor kitchen, and fire pit this week. Should have the deck poured, interior finished, and pool filled by next weekend.

8/2: Deck was complete this weekend, utilities roughed in, and started construction on ramada today. Project coming along and should be complete in the next two weeks.

8/6: Blue Granite Pebble Tech interior applied today. Acid wash tomorrow and ready to fill Saturday afternoon.

8/12: Tongue and groove, pillar rock work, kitchen/step flagstone all going in today. Rock work on kitchen and fire pit will be complete by Monday ready for Sundek application Tuesday.

8/22: Project complete in time for Labor Day weekend. Thanks to all subs for their hard work and to the Hoover family for the opportunity to design and build their backyard oasis.

First Pool Complete

Our first pool in Marble Falls is complete. Just a bit of touch up and we’ll close that project. Great opportunity and learning experience for all of us.
